Lettering & Engraving

Nearly all items include some amount of free characters of lettering, indicated on their individual product page. All trophies include up to 40 characters of lettering per item. 'Characters' are defined as letters, numbers, and punctuation. We do not count spaces as characters. Any characters over the allowed amount per item are charged at an additional $0.15 per character. This additional amount may be charged separately in addition to your order total. 

We reserve the right to choose lettering process, type size, fonts, style, and use of abbreviation at our discretion. 

Copyright

By providing us with copyrighted materials, you confirm that you are the current copyright owner of the materials described or an authorized user, and transfer or assign to Midwest Awards permission for use of any copyrighted materials provided in the process of completing the order.

Production Time and Shipping

Standard Turnaround is seven business days for production of most orders, plus ground shipping (UPS or USPS) if applicable. Rush shipping is available at prevailing rates. If you need your items faster, let us know at the time of your order and we will do our best to accommodate your needs. Rush charges may apply for some orders requiring 48 hour turnaround or less, and payment is required up front and in full for all rush orders. 

You will receive an email with tracking information when your order ships through UPS. Pick up your order in person at our location in Aurora, Illinois Monday-Fridays 9-5.

Returns, Replacements, and Recycling

Due to the highly personalized nature of our award products they are not eligible for return after they have been engraved or etched, although in some cases an engraving plate can be replaced to utilize the award for a different recipient or purpose. Please contact us to discuss this on a case-by-case basis.

You agree to submit the correct file(s) for your awards, select the correct size of item, provide the adequate resolution/format artwork, provide correct text and images, include linked files, and provide color match information if needed. Our talented and experienced team of designers will lay out your artwork and text for the best possible results. Your satisfaction is important! In the event of an error on our part, we will replace the incorrect piece(s) at our expense. If the error was on your part, we will replace the incorrect piece(s) for a nominal fee.

Want to make sure your order is made to your exact specifications? Proofs are available for most processes, although please keep in mind that they aren’t always necessary and may slow down your production time by a day or more. If your project requires a production sample, please contact us and we will be happy to discuss this with you.

If your order was damaged in shipping, it is very important that you retain all packaging and wrapping materials for UPS inspection. Please inspect the exterior of your packages carefully upon receipt and report any obvious damage to the courier. In the event of damage, we will assist you in any way possible with your courier claim. You must notify us within 24 hours of receipt of delivery.

We do not accept old trophies for “recycling” or “donation”. Savers, Goodwill, etc. will take old trophies for resale in their shops. Youth organizations or church groups may also accept donations of old awards for repurposing.

Ordering

Ordering custom awards is easier than ever! When placing your order, please ensure you give complete and correct information, as missing or incorrect information will delay processing of your order. We are happy to ship goods to alternate addresses, but your billing address much match that of the credit/debit card used for payment. Orders are only shipped once payment processing is complete.

Once you have placed your order you will receive a confirmation email. Please check that this email does not get automatically filtered as spam by your email filter. If after a short time, if you haven’t received your order confirmation, please e-mail us as we can confirm whether your order has been received.

Not sure what you’ve ordered before, or what information you need to provide? Call or email and we can look up your past order details. All orders placed through our new, improved website can be viewed in the “My Account” section after signing in to your account.

Payment

Payment information is required to start production. A 50% deposit is required for all custom orders with Standard Turnaround. Payment in full is required for all orders with 48 hour turnaround or less. Acceptable methods are Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover cards. Payment by cash or check can be made in person during business hours. Pre-approved schools and municipalities may submit a P.O. or requisition form number at the time of order for NET-15 terms. If you aren’t sure if this applies to you, contact us.

Illinois Sales Tax Exempt orders: Illinois state sales tax applies to orders shipped to an Illinois location or picked up from our store. If you or your organization are Illinois Sales Tax Exempt, please email a copy of your Illinois Sales Tax Exempt letter (for non-profits) or a CRT-61 (for resellers) to [email protected] . We cannot accept 501(c)(3) numbers for sales tax exemption.

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the proper use of information, we have established and implemented appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. Midwest Awards Corporation uses Internet Encryption Software, Secure Socket Layer (SSL) Protocol when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information. Any information you enter is encrypted at your browser, sent over the public Internet in encrypted form, and then de-encrypted at our server. Once we receive your credit card information, it is accessible only to a small number of trusted Midwest Awards Corporation employees who have been specially trained in processing this information.

From time to time, we may send a "cookie" to your computer. A cookie is a small piece of data that is sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. Midwest Awards Corporation reserves the right to de-activate or remove any user accounts provided at www.midwestawardscorp.com without a notice if user has provided wrong information, has violated common Internet policies or if the account has been inactive.
